About Us
Bunbury Swimming Club welcomes all swimmers, regardless of age, to come and train and race with us. We have swimming squads ranging from beginner swimmers through to swimmers who are at a state or national level.
History
The Bunbury Swimming Club was established in 1960.
One of the founding members of the club was
David Dickson,
who is a triple Olympic bronze medallist in swimming, winning medals at the 1960 and 1964 Olympic Games.
Bunbury Swimming Club has won numerous awards, including winning the A-Grade Country Pennants 9 years in a row.
Where we train
The Bunbury Swimming Club is currently the club in residence at the South West Sports Centre, located in Hay Park, Bunbury. Training is held in the indoor 50m pool from Monday through to Saturday, with training sessions being conducted in both the mornings and afternoons.
The best and fastest way to learn a sport is to watch and imitate a champion (Jean-Claude Killy).
